Four Hearts Farm Mainely Fiber - NEW IN 2022

Located in Waterboro, Maine, established in 2016, with a focus of sustainable agriculture and U.S. Sourced and Milled fiber products.  Our studio dyes small batches of US Sourced and produced hand and mill spun yarn, natural fiber rovings, batts, rolags and luxurious locks in colorways for all preferences.   We also offer a selection of Ashford, Brother and Chiaogoo products both on our website and in our Farm store.

We raised Angora goats, we obtain our fiber from only small US farms, most found locally. Our prepared fiber is processed at mills in the US, with majority processed in the state of Maine. We process many fleeces our self throughout the year by hand not using mill equipment.

We carry natural and hand dyed loose fiber, combed top, Carded Roving, locks, Batts, Rolags and a combination of Mill and hand spun yarn. I also make notions such as custom stitch markers, earrings, and tools such as felting accessories, student drop spindles, kits for Montessori classrooms to introduce fiber arts, as well as kits for Felting, Blending, spinning and weaving.

We carry Unicorn Power Scour Products and offer a Breed study with over 20 breeds currently with a guide on evaluating the fleece (provided in 2 oz increments) and tracking the value and loss after washing, processing and spinning. This is aimed to expose people to a multitude of breeds and bring awareness to the cost and skills associated with wool processing.

We recently have partnered with Ashford Wheels and Looms and Chiaogoo knitting and crochet tools and are building our inventory. We will have a selection of wheels and looms on hand at Rhinebeck this year!

We utilize natural and acid dyes for our fiber and are planting a large dye garden to carry our own organically grown stock of natural dyes.

Right now we are currently working with a local mill to create custom Rovings and yarn. I will have a selection of rovings from multiple breeds and blends. Hopefully we will be bringing our first custom yarns as well.

We also carry instructional books created by small businesses and are always looking for new products made by our local farmers and fine craftsmen.

We hope you enjoy what we have to offer!
